Poppy and Friends Biography and Press Photos Poppy and Friends are a Bristol based acoustic folk project lead by singer/songwriter and guitarist Poppy Pitt. Poppy has a unique voice and song writing style, weaving off kilter tales of urban life put to the sweetest of folk melodies. Poppy's use of simple modern prose, mixed with a folk and country sound, guarantees to get your feet moving, your folk-face smiling, and your heart melting. Poppy studied at Goldsmiths University where she began singing live at the Easycome Acoustic night in South East London, as well as at Goldsmiths Student Union, it was here she met The Bobby Mac'Gees, who introduced her to the UK Anti-Folk Scene and she started gigging regularly with them in London and Brighton.
